Volusia Co, FL – Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-95
Volusia County, FL (May 13, 2026) – Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Monday morning, May 11, on northbound Interstate 95 near Daytona Beach. The crash involved three vehicles and led to a temporary closure of the roadway.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2014 Kia was traveling north on Interstate 95 when it failed to slow for traffic. The Kia struck the rear of a 2025 Toyota, causing the Toyota to collide with a 2015 BMW directly ahead.
Emergency units responded to the scene and assisted those involved. The drivers of the Kia and the BMW were transported to nearby hospitals with minor injuries. No additional injuries were reported.
Northbound lanes of Interstate 95 were shut down while crews cleared the scene and investigated the crash. The roadway has since been reopened to traffic.
The incident remains under review as investigators work to determine all contributing factors.
