According to FL511 traffic alerts, all southbound lanes were closed from Exit 107 (State Road 710/Bee Line Highway) to just before Mile Marker 103 due to the hazardous conditions caused by the fire.

Traffic reports also indicated police activity between Exit 107 and the ramp to Exit 99 (Okeechobee Boulevard/State Road 704), with all southbound lanes temporarily shut down in the affected stretch while crews worked the scene.
