Pedestrian Killed by Vehicle on I-95 in Northeast Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade County, FL (Thursday, January 29, 2026) – A pedestrian was struck and killed Wednesday night on Interstate 95 in northeast Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just after 9:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near Miami Gardens Drive.

Troopers said the pedestrian was hit by an oncoming vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials closed the southbound lanes of I-95 at Ives Dairy Road during the initial investigation. All lanes were reopened at approximately 1:20 a.m. Thursday.
