Deadly Crash on South US Highway 27 in West Palm Beach Leaves 2 Dead, Several Injured

West Palm Beach , FL (August 2, 2026) – Authorities have released additional details following a deadly three-vehicle crash on South US Highway 27 near South Bay over the weekend.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, two people were killed and several others were injured in the crash, which occurred Saturday afternoon in the 7500 block of South US Highway 27.

The traffic report states that a vehicle traveling southbound lost control, crossed the median, and entered the northbound lanes. The vehicle began rotating before being struck by a northbound semi-truck traveling in the outside lane.

A second northbound vehicle then sideswiped the rear of the first vehicle following the initial collision.

The driver of the first vehicle was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. A juvenile passenger in the vehicle was also pronounced dead.

Two additional occupants of the vehicle were transported to a local medical facility with serious injuries.

Occupants of the second passenger vehicle were also taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The semi-truck driver was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation as authorities continue reviewing the circumstances that led to the collision.
