Three Injured in Fort Lauderdale Crash; One in Critical Condition

Fort Lauderdale, FL (Wednesday, March 25, 2026) – Two of the three people injured in a violent crash in Fort Lauderdale remain hospitalized at Broward Health Medical Center, including one in critical condition.

The crash occurred around 4 a.m. Wednesday at Broward Boulevard and Seventh Avenue, leaving debris scattered across the roadway.

Surveillance video showed a white BMW and a black Audi colliding at the intersection. The impact sent the car spinning into a fire truck that was stopped at a red light.

Firefighters immediately responded, pulling the car driver from the wreckage and administering whole blood before transporting them to the hospital. The two occupants of the Audi were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Chief  stated that the rapid response and immediate extrication efforts played a critical role in saving lives.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash and determine fault. The identities of those involved have not been released.

5 Steps to Take After Being Involved in a Crash in Florida

The first steps after a crash in Florida include seeking medical attention, documenting the scene, reporting the accident, keeping records, and reviewing insurance options. These actions can help protect your health and create important documentation connected to the incident.

Medical attention should be the top priority after any crash. Even in serious or fatal incidents involving others, anyone exposed to the scene or involved should be evaluated for possible injuries or shock-related conditions.

Medical records created during treatment can serve as important documentation related to any injuries or exposure from the crash.

Documenting the scene can also be helpful when possible. Photos of vehicle positions, roadway conditions, and surrounding areas may provide useful context later. Witness information and official reports can also be important for insurance or legal purposes.

Reporting the crash and keeping organized records are also key steps. Florida Highway Patrol reports, insurance communications, and any related documentation can help establish a clear record of what occurred.

Legal questions may arise following a serious or fatal crash. A car accident lawyer can review official reports and insurance policies to help explain possible options and next steps depending on the circumstances.
