Lake Worth Beach, FL (August 4, 2026) – Authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian-train collision that occurred Sunday in Lake Worth Beach.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division, the incident happened near the railroad crossing at the intersection of Lake Avenue and North G Street.
Investigators reported that a pedestrian was crossing the railroad tracks when, for reasons that remain under investigation, he entered the path of an oncoming Brightline train. The individual was struck by the front left side of the train and sustained fatal injuries.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators stated that there was no indication that drugs or alcohol were factors in the incident. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
