Officials said the crash occurred on Sunday around 8:00 a.m. along Military Trail in West Palm Beach. A 20-year-old driver was reportedly operating a Dodge Charger at a high rate of speed while traveling with three passengers.
According to PBSO, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to drift off the roadway before striking a power pole. Investigators said the impact caused the vehicle to rotate violently around the pole.
Authorities confirmed that the front-seat passenger was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. One passenger was pronounced dead as a result of the collision, while another sustained serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment. The driver’s condition was not immediately released.
